Hydrocare Water Sanitiser

Intra Hydrocare is based on ultra-stabilised hydrogen peroxide.
“Dosed in the drinking water system, the slow release effect of Intra Hydrocare allows it to react in a controlled manner with encountered biofilm and pathogens. During this chemical reaction, Intra Hydrocare will dissolve into oxygen and water. Both of which are completely safe for humans, animals, equipment and the environment.”

6 REASONS
TO CHOOSE INTRA HYDROCARE
Ultra stabilised hydrogen peroxide
Slow release effect that removes biofilm till the end of the pipeline
Eliminates bacteria, viruses, yeasts and fungi, even when they hide in biofilm
To be used during empty- AND operational barns
Safe for humans, animals, materials and the environment
Extensive registrations worldwide (including ECHA)

Description

Intra Hydrocare is registered in Europe for the following types of use:

PT02: Private area and public health area disinfectants and other biocidal products

PT03: Veterinary hygiene biocidal products

PT04: Food and feed area disinfectants

PT05: Drinking water disinfectants

Dangers of biofilm

A mature biofilm continuously disperses pathogens through the drinking water
Causes corrosion (bacteria ‘eat away’ the surfaces)
Cells in biofilms are more stress adapted
Biofilm extracellular polymeric substances (EPS) are spots for plasmid exchange, thus allowing bacteria to swap genes that give them resistance
Animals can be underdosed (vaccines, antibiotics) leading to insufficient efficacy and building up even more resistance

Protocol & Usage

Intra Hydrocare can be used for 2 purposes: cleaning and maintenance. What dosage should be used depends on several factors, such as the quality of the incoming water, and if the house is empty or animals are present.

POULTRY
Cleaning with Intra Hydrocare in an empty house

Fill the drinking system with a 1-3% solution (1-3 litre Intra Hydrocare per 100 litre of water). The product has a self-working effervescent action, so brushing is not required. After filling all the pipes, drinking nozzles, cups or towers must also be filled so the whole system is treated. Ensure there is always air-escape in the drinking system. Allow the solution to stand for at least 12 hours and then rinse the whole system, including the drinking nozzles, cups and towers with clean water.

Cleaning with Intra Hydrocare in an operational barn

If necessary, the system can be treated when the animals are present. Start with a dosage of 0.010% (= 100 ml Intra Hydrocare per 1000 litre of water) for 5 days. If needed increase the dosage by 50 ml every two days until the maximum dosage of 0.020 % is reached (= 200 ml Intra Hydrocare per 1000 litre of water). Depending on the amount and type of contamination, this method will take app. 10 days. In case the water / feed intake changes, the dosage must be lowered.

In case of severe biofilm / pathogenic bacteria pollution, a water analysis is recommended and first clean the system when the animals are not present.

Maintenance with Intra Hydrocare

Incoming water polluted: dose 0.0030 – 0.0050% (= 30 – 50 ml Intra Hydrocare per 1000 litre of water) every day.

Incoming water okay: dose 0.010 – 0.015% (=100-150 ml Intra Hydrocare per 1000 litre of water) 1 – 2 day(s) a week.

PIGS
Cleaning and disinfection of drinking systems in empty barns: Use a 1-3% Intra Hydrocare concentration, and leave it for one night in the drinking water system. Ensure there is always air-escape in the drinking system.

Cleaning
Empty house
10-12 hours
1-3 % solution
Animals present
10-14 days
Use 100 ml / 1.000 litre.
If needed continue with 100 ml / 1.000 litre till the system is clean.

In case of severe biofilm / pathogenic bacteria pollution, a water analysis is recommended and first clean the system when the animals are not present.

Safety instructions

Make sure there is always air-escape in the drinking system when cleaning the system. Be aware that 1 L Intra Hydrocare produces 200 L oxygen.
Wear safety gloves and goggles when using Intra Hydrocare.

FAQ’S

Does Intra Hydrocare effect the taste or smell of the water?

No, Intra Hydrocare has no effect on the taste, smell of pH of the water. Therefore, it does not affect the water intake.

Can Intra Hydrocare be used in operational systems?

Yes, Intra Hydrocare has PT05 registration in Europe. This means the product has been proven to be safe for animals to consume in the recommended dosage

What is the difference between chloride products and Intra Hydrocare?

Where chloride products are good disinfectants, they possess no cleaning properties. This means that it cannot remove the biofilm, which is the breeding ground for micro-organisms, and the bacteria can survive hidden in the pipeline.

What is the difference between normal hydrogen peroxide and Intra Hydrocare?

Normal hydrogen peroxide reacts very quickly. When encountering the first organic pollution in the first meters of the drinking water line, it will immediately react, which can be corrosive for the system. However, the end of the pipeline is the most contaminated and therefore most crucial part. When dissolved into oxygen and water, normal hydrogen peroxide will not reach the end of the pipeline. Intra Hydrocare is very stabilized hydrogen peroxide. Therefore, it contains a slow release function which allows the whole pipeline, till the last nipple, to be cleaned and disinfected.

Can Intra Hydrocare be used simultaneously with vaccines or medication?

No, it is not advised to combine Intra Hydrocare with vaccines or other medication.

Can Intra Hydrocare be used simultaneously with organic acids, such as Intra Aqua Acid Mineral?

Yes.

What type of pollution with be removed with Intra Hydrocare?

Intra Hydrocare removes all organic pollution and manganese deposits.
